First lets start by explaining "What is a Claybar?" , a Claybar is a malleable substance that is made up of a very soft clay. There are two main types of automotive claybars, the first one is a claybar that is a soft malleable putty like substance and the second one is a synthetic claybar which in most cases are clay mitts. It is basically the clay substances on a mitt, but can be used multiple times and last longer than a traditional claybar. They both will do the same thing, but traditional claybars are work better with heavily contaminated vehicles.
A claybar is used after the car has received a deep cleaning on the exterior, but after the wash there are still embedded containments in the paint that have built up over the years. Sometimes the contaminates can also be iron contaminants which aren't removed with a claybar, but instead with a liquid called an iron remover. After you have removed the iron contaminates you will start the claybar process. You will need a liquid with a lot of lubrication like a spray wax or a quick detailer, you can even use a foam cannon soap that has a lot of lubrication. To start the claybar process you will use your lubrication of choice and spray it on to the vehicle . You will then start to glide the claybar across the paint in straight motions. Make sure you are using enough spray wax or detailer to prevent the claybar from catching on to the paint and marring the paint. The claybar should glide across the paint in straight motions and you should feel the paint getting smoother. After you have clayed the whole vehicle you will wash off the excess spray wax and/or detailer. Next you will polish the vehicle and apply a sealant or coating. You can also skip the polishing step and seal up the paint with polymer sealant or a spray sealant, or any type of paint protection of your choice. It is recommended that the protection should last 6 months or more.

Detailing a vehicle can have various complicated steps, detailing has these steps because we as professional auto detailers need to be able to clean and protect the materials in the vehicles in a safe way to not damage the vehicle. First step in cleaning your leather seats is to vacuum any debris that might be on the seat, or you could even use tools like compressed air to blow away the dirt and get into all the cracks and crevices on the seat. After you have made sure that you have removed all loose debris from the seat you well now start the cleaning process of the seat. For this second step you will need, soft brushes or professional soft scrubbers like the scrub ninja you will also need a safe cleaning product to clean the leather. You can either buy a leather cleaner from any auto parts store or buys products like Xpress interiors from P&S to clean the seat and you will also need some microfiber towels. Third step you will spray your cleaner into your choice of tools I listed earlier and spray the chemical into the tool and start to softly scrub the seat to remove any dirt and oils on the seat, after you have scrubbed the seat thoroughly you will wipe down the seat and remove any excess dirt or cleaner. The seat should now have a nice matte looking color that matte looking color is what clean leather looks like. Last step in the cleaning of leather seats is to apply some sort of protection to the seat to protect it from harmful UV rays and avoid the leather from cracking or fading. You can choose multiple types of protection, there are multiple types of protection with different finishes as well, some leave shiny finishes, or no finishes at al. It depends on what you want to choose or what your customer wants. The most important part is to make sure that the leather is protected to make sure that the leather stays looking good for as long as possible. How to properly wash your cars paint at home? Usually when people wash their vehicles, they use a combination of sponges, towels or even dirty wash mitts. These are all NOT the right way to clean your vehicle. First step in washing your vehicle is to make sure you have a couple tools, a plush microfiber drying towel to prevent scratching when drying the vehicle, nice PH neutral soap that you can get at any auto parts store, 2 buckets, a hose sprayer, and a microfiber wash mitt. All of these supplies, you can get at your local auto parts store.
First, place your vehicle in a place that is not under direct sunlight. Second, rinse down the vehicle to remove as much dirt as possible. Third, fill up 1 bucket with water and soap and then fill up the second bucket with just water. Then, make sure to use the hose sprayer to spray water into the bucket with soap to make the soap foam up. After that, you are ready to wash the vehicle. Start washing the vehicle in sections of 2 panels and rinse your wash mitt in the second bucket after every 2 panels and make sure to grab more foam from the soap bucket to keep the washing process lubricated . You should also make sure to wash the vehicle in straight lines from top to bottom and NEVER in circles or swirling motions, as that can cause scratches or micro swirls. After you have carefully washed your entire vehicle, you can now start to rinse the entire vehicle thoroughly. Next, you grab your microfiber drying towel and start to dry the whole vehicle to prevent any water from drying onto the vehicle and causing water spots. Finally, you should be left with a nice clean paint ready to show off the hard work you put into washing your vehicle and keeping it clean. What is the Process of Detailing a vehicle? The goal of every detail is to get the vehicle in the best condition possibly and try to get the vehicle in "like new" condition. During the detailing process, usually there will be a number of steps to achieve a clean car. One of the most important steps in shampooing the carpets and upholstery seats is to remove all stains.
Here at A1 Auto Detailing we use our diluted carpet shampoo and the carpets and upholstery on the seats and floors, then we agitate the chemical into the fabric to allow the stains to break down, next we use our shampoo machine to extract the stains out of the fabric and allow the stains to leave. In most cases Detailer will shampoo all of the seats or if they are leather seats, we use a safe chemical to clean the leather and put a protection on top to keep the leather from fading or cracking. This process is also done to all of the plastics in the car like the cup holders and dashboard. After the inside of the vehicle is all clean, the Detailer will start to wash the Wheels, Wheel Wells, and Fender Wells. They will use a wheel cleaner and degreaser to break down dirt, grime, and brake dust to clean every inch of the wheels to look spotless. After that, they will rinse the whole car thoroughly and fill up 2 buckets with water. One with soap and the other with nothing but water. One bucket will carry the mitts, soap, and detailing brushes used only for the exterior, the other bucket will be used to rinse the mitts after every 2 panels. Before the actual contact wash, professional detailer should always have a foam canon with soap that they will use to foam up the vehicle and add lubrication to the washing process to prevent scratching. That being said, the detailer will also always wash the vehicle in straight lined motions and never in a swirling motion. After this, the detailer will dry the vehicle with a plush large microfiber towels and make sure the entire vehicle is dry to prevent water spots from drying onto the paint. For the final step, the detailer will dry the wheels and tires to apply tire shine and also apply an added wax or sealant of choice to keep the paint protected. Plus it adds a shine to the vehicle.
