What Is A Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is more than just a simple coat of wax; it's a glass coating that is applied to your vehicle's paint in order to protect the paint from water spots, bird droppings, minor scratches, and other external elements. The enhanced luster and protection make it ideal for high-performance cars and classics. It also makes washing your vehicle significantly easier, meaning you can better maintain your vehicle’s shine at home.
This is not a wax-on wax-off kind of protection and takes a lot of time and persistence to apply it correctly. The ceramic coating bonds with the paint and acts as a defensive layer to protect the paint from external elements like, rain, bird droppings, snow, and dirt. This ceramic coating is a highly durable protective armor for your vehicle and is the best way to ensure your vehicle maintains its exterior luster and is equipped to battle the elements.

The Benefits of A Ceramic Coating
Here are some of the benefits of a ceramic coating:
Our service for ceramic coating must be paired with one of our paint correction services. The reason for this is because the paint needs to be prepped and polished in order for the coating to bond properly with the paint. The reason a professional should always do your ceramic coating installation is because if you try to install it yourself and don't install it correctly, you won't get the same benefits and durability from the coating. You also risk causing high spots with applying the coating which will leave a hazy smudged look on your paint that can only be removed if you polish the vehicle.
Depending on the coating you choose, the longer the durability you want then the harder and more skill it will require to install the ceramic coating. On top of that, you also have to take into account the humidity and temperature when applying it. Here at A1 Auto Detailing we always make sure that we will apply the ceramic coating in a controlled environment, so we don't have any complications when installing the coating.
